There are seasons in life that don't come with an explanation.
Seasons where you wake up and go through the motions — showing up for everyone else, holding it together on the outside — but quietly wondering how you got so far from yourself. You can't always name what's wrong. You just know that something is.
If you've ever been in that place, I want you to know: you are not broken. You are becoming.
That word — becoming — has followed me for years. Through my own seasons of healing. Through the work I do alongside individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and the quiet weight of not feeling like enough. Through the stories I've carried in my heart that were waiting for the right moment to be told.
Becoming Angel is that moment.
Why I'm Writing This Story
I'm setting out to write a novel. I'm setting out to tell the truth.
The truth that healing is rarely loud. It doesn't always look like a breakthrough moment or a mountaintop experience. Sometimes it looks like one honest conversation. One decision to stop shrinking. One morning where you choose yourself — not because everything is figured out, but because you're finally willing to try.
Angel's story is the story of a woman in the middle of that process. She is navigating identity, resilience, and the slow, necessary work of personal growth. She is not perfect. She is not fully healed by chapter one. But she is willing — and that willingness is where everything begins.
I'm writing this book for the woman who sees herself in Angel. The woman who has spent so long being what everyone else needed that she's lost sight of who God created her to be.
What the Becoming Series Is About
Becoming Angel will be the first book in the Becoming Series — a collection designed to meet women in different seasons of life.
Each book in the series will carry its own story, its own season, its own set of truths. But they are all anchored in the same belief: growth is not always loud, but it is always necessary.
The series was born from a story I developed in childhood. While details and character names may have changed as I have grown, the foundation of becoming remains the same. I have sat across from women who were brilliant, resilient, and deeply capable — and who could not yet see it in themselves. I have been that woman. And I have learned, slowly and with grace, what it means to become aware of what shaped you, what hurt you, what you've been carrying — and what God has been calling you toward all along.
That is the heartbeat of this series.
The Becoming AWARE Framework
Everything I create — this blog, my work, and the stories I tell — is rooted in a simple but powerful truth: healing begins when we become aware.
That's why I developed the Becoming AWARE Framework. It's the lens through which I approach growth, and it's woven into everything in this space:
A — Acknowledge where you are stuck emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.W — Welcome honesty, healing, and support without shame.A — Align your thoughts, choices, and identity with truth.R — Renew your mind, your faith, and your sense of purpose.E — Embrace & Engage — embrace the woman you are becoming and engage with purpose.
Angel's journey in the novel moves through each of these stages — not in a neat, linear way, but in the way real growth actually happens. Messy. Nonlinear. And ultimately, transformative.
What's Next
I am in the early stages of this journey — working with an agent, building community, and preparing to bring this story to the women who need it most.
If you want to follow along, I'd love for you to join the newsletter. You'll be the first to know about updates, release news, and behind-the-scenes moments from the writing process.
Because this isn't just a book launch. It's a testimony in progress.
And I believe the right readers will find their way to Angel's story exactly when they need it.
Until then — keep becoming.
